Fresh & Easy on its U.S. launch

Journalists from all around the U.S. – and beyond – were calling and asking Wonnacott, spokesman for British supermarket giant Tesco’s Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market stores in the U.S., all kinds of sky-is-falling questions. A day earlier, a Sunday London Times story quoted Tim Mason, head of Tesco’s U.S. business, as saying the company’s earlier market research was mistaken, and it might make big changes to the stores.
