New Wines from Michael David

Makers of the well-known 7 Deadly Zins, Michael David Winery launched a new namesake brand. The Michael David Winery brand includes a Chardonnay ($16) and Sauvignon Blanc ($16) nationwide. The winery also has plans for a Michael David Winery red varietal, in 2014. The Chardonnay is a balanced wine with ripe tropical fruits and good natural acidity. It is certified under the Lodi Rules Program for Sustainable Wine Growing. The Sauvignon Blanc is cold fermented in stainless steel and is a bright, clean wine, the company says.
