The digital landscape of the alcohol industry continues to shift and solidify.
Next Glass — an app that uses data logarithms to predict which yet-tried beers and wines a user will enjoy — has announced partnerships with Total Wine & More, Wine.com, and the alcohol delivery app Drizly.
Total Wine & More, America’s largest independent alcohol retailer, will pair its assortment of products with Next Glass’ proprietary recommendation and selection tools to offer personalized discounts to customers based on their Next Glass Taste Profiles.
The Next Glass app employs smartphones’ location-aware and notification features to optimize the Total Wine & More shopping experience, according to the company. While in a Total Wine & More location, Next Glass algorithms match whats on shelves to users’ unique Taste Profiles to offer recommendations and discounts on beer and wine that customers are likely to enjoy.
“Next Glass is about helping people find great wine and beer,” said Kurt Taylor, company CEO.
Next Glass will also serve recommendations and deals from both Wine.com and Drizly on beers and wines, based on users’ Taste Profiles. Users will be directed to Wine.com and Drizly’s websites, through which wine and beer can be purchased for delivery from either platform.
Wine ordered on Wine.com can ship out for next-day delivery, while products ordered through Drizly can be delivered on-demand in less than one hour in 15 markets: Austin, Baltimore, Boston, , Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St.Paul, New York City, Providence, Seattle, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C.
