Jose Cuervo’s ultra-premium aged tequila, Reserva de la Familia, kicked off Father’s Day with an art-centric initiative with Olympic gold-medalist skier Bode Miller and his father, Woody (pictured together above), to celebrate the unique bond between father and son.
Bode has created a one-of-a-kind wooden case designed to house the tequila as a personal gift for his father, which was unveiled last night at the Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia Father’s Day Fiesta in New York City.
Jose Cuervo’s Reserva de la Familia comes from the ultra-aged, private reserves of tequila that Don Jose Antonio de Cuervo shared with his children in the late-18th century, the company says.
Each bottle is encased in a wooden box adorned with the work of a carefully selected Mexican artist.
Bode decorated the box inspired by his relationship with his father – a design based on Bode’s childhood with his father growing up in New Hampshire, both on the tennis courts and ski slopes.
Bode pays homage to everything Woody taught him about tolerance, respect, love, life and sports in this custom design, according to a press release.
Miller unveiled and presented the bottle box to his father at a private reception at The Viceroy Hotel in New York City on Monday, June 15, 2015.
