Vino Noceto Aged Sangiovese Line

BS 2010 Noceto SangioveseVino Noceto has announced its line of aged Californian Sangiovese wines, from the Amador County.

The 2010 Noceto Sangiovese displays aromas of red berry and and cherry fruit, the company says, and tastes of cassis, cranberry and plum, with notes of oak and peppery spice. It is 14.1% ABV and has a suggested retail price of $18 per bottle. The wine is aged in French oak 130-gallon puncheons.

The 2011 Noceto Sangiovese is similar in taste and aroma. It was aged both in French oak puncheons and 60-gallon French oak barrels. The 2011 has an ABV of 13% and SRP or $18.

Similar again in taste, aroma, and aging techniques the 2012 Noceto Sangiovese has an ABV of 14.1% and SRP or $18.

The 2009 AX-1 Sangiovese has flavors of dark plum, leather, dark cherry and mushroom. It is earthy and lasting, the company says. The wine was barrel aged in French puncheons for 36 months and then bottle aged for an additional 2-1/2 years. It has an ABV of 15.5% and SRP of $49.
