Wente Vineyards, on its fourth and fifth generation of family operators, has announced its lineup for the new year.
Charles Wetmore Cabernet Sauvignon 2013: Aged 20 months in new French and neutral American and Eastern European oak barrels. Floral aromas with hints of tobacco, followed by flavors of ripe black cherry and dark plum with undertones of leather, coffee and spice. ABV: 14.5%. SRP: $30
Louis Mel Sauvignon Blanc 2013: Aged in stainless steel tanks. Straw color, with aromas of guava, melon, gooseberry, grass and lime. Flavors of honey melon and pineapple. ABV: 13.5%. SRP: $15
Morning Fog Chardonnay 2014: Aged 20 months in 50% new French Oak and 50% in neutral. Aromas of cherry, strawberry and vanilla, with notes of oak, earth and cigar box. ABV: 14.5%. SRP: $15
Eric’s Chardonnay 2014: Aromas of lemon zest, green apple, pear, pineapple and nectarine. Balanced flavor of fruit and acidity. ABV: 13.4%. SRP: $30
Riva Ranch Style Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012: Flavors of cherry, strawberry, and vanilla, with notes of toasted oak, eath, and cigar box. Aged for 20 months in 50% new French oak and 50% in neutral. ABV: 14.5%. SRP: $30
