Thanisch_BernBadstube_RieslingKabBernkasteler Badstube Riesling Kabinett 2014 comes from the Doctor Vineyard, considered the estate’s best site. The wine has flavors of ripe red and yellow fruits, with an underlying minerality common of the Mosel area.

It matches well with delicate foods, veal, shellfish, roasted poultry and fish.

The ABV is 8% and the suggested retail price $22.

The Reisling 2014 comes from the middle Mosel area, from grapes picked early at Kabinett-level ripeness. Flavors include peaches, pear cumquat, watermelon, currant grapefruit, with hints of raspberry and gooseberry. It is blended with the above wine to increase quality.

Pairs well with Asian food, particularly sweet and sour dishes and sushi, as well as flavored poultry and seafood.

10.8% ABV. SRP: $14.
