The newest spirit coming out of Tamworth Distilling is Camp Robber: a blend of bourbon whiskey, apple brandy, apple cider, and caramelized sugar.
This spirit allows fans an early taste of Tamworth’s first whiskey while the rest of the stock continues aging in the barrelhouse, the company says.
A 16-month old bourbon made from organic corn and rye serves as the base, which is then combined with apple brandy and fresh apple cider. The result drinks like both a whiskey and an American applejack, the company says, with sweetness from the bourbon, acidity from the cider, and a spicy backbone from the rye supporting the light, floral brandy.
The suggested retail price is $45 per 750-ml. bottle.
Camp Robber will only be available in limited quantities at the distillery in Tamworth and online through Warehouse Wine + Spirits.
