Daniel Noble Voted Incoming Chair-Elect To NABCA Board

Daniel W. Noble, director of the Wyoming Department of Revenue, has been voted chair-elect to the NABCA Board of Directors.

He will assume responsibilities of this position in May 2018, when current chair-elect Jeffrey L. Painter, chairman of the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (Virginia ABC), becomes NABCA chairman of the board.

Noble was appointed director of the Wyoming Department of Revenue by Governor Matt Mead in July of 2013. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and served in the U.S. Army from 1974 -1981 as a surgical technician.

Before entering government service, Noble worked in public accounting as a microcomputer consultant for three years and spent several years as the chief financial officer of an ambulance company. He joined the Department of Revenue in 1998 as the administrator of the administrative services division and was subsequently appointed in March of 2000 as the administrator of the excise tax division.

“Having served on several of the NABCA committees, Dan brings an understanding of the association and its mission and purpose to his role as the future chairman,” says Jim Sgueo, NABCA president and CEO. “He has the ability to build consensus, which will be valuable to the association and all of its stakeholders. We look forward to his leadership on the NABCA board.”

Says Noble, “Recognition by my colleagues on the Board of Directors for the honor of serving as chairman-elect is humbling. I look forward to the challenge in the upcoming years and will do my best to represent the mission of NABCA and its members and to work together with our industry partners to ensure that our control jurisdictions offer modern, efficient, and most importantly, responsible distribution systems for our consumers. Thank you for this great honor.”
