Heaven Hill has unveiled the B524 bottles for both Elijah Craig and Larceny Barrel Proof.
All releases in both series follow a standard naming system. The “B” in the name stands for the second batch in an annual A, B, C line. The “5” denotes the release month, May, while the 24 represents the current year.
Elijah Craig Barrel Proof B524 aged for 11 years and two months. It is non-chill-filtered and uncut, and comes bottled at 130.6 proof.
The suggested retail price is $74.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
Starting with last year’s batches, Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is now barreled in small batches with varying age statements. Each batch has a unique flavor profile and proof, as in the past, but now also a unique age statement that details aging down to the month. This expanded statement has transitioned from the side of the bottle to the front label. All other qualities remain the same.
The next and final 2024 batch of ECBP is expected in September.
Showcasing Heaven Hill’s wheated bourbon recipe, Larceny Barrel Proof B524 is 125.4 proof. Like each batch, this expression is an uncut small batch bourbon aged six to eight years, bottled straight from the barrel. Heaven Hill Distillery’s wheated bourbon mashbill is 68% corn, 20% wheat, and 12% malted barley.
The suggested retail price is $64.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
This follows the LBP A124 release, with the third and final 2024 batch expected in September.
