Bacardi USA has debuted a new bottle and label design for the Bacardi portfolio of traditional rums, which includes the Bacardi Superior, Gold, Select and 151 rum labels. The new look features a taller, more tapered bottle with a sleeker contemporary label design and type font. The company launched a new multimedia ad campaign in conjunction with the re-design.
The Players Extreme line of vodkas and rums, from Blavod Extreme Spirits, Franklin, TN, intro duced new bottle designs that feature frosted glass complemented by a splash of color representing the infused flavor of the vodka. The rum bottles are clear featuring a colorful picture of the fruit represented in the infused flavor.
Seagram’s Coolers, managed and marketed by United States Beverage, LLC of Stamford, CT, has unveiled its new Cranberry Apple Winter Breeze flavor. The cranberry-apple flavor joins a lineup of more than a dozen flavors.
SKYY Spirits, LLC has launched SKYY Orange, a medley of Brazilian and blood oranges blended with the vodka. The new flavor is the company’s sixth. The product features a bright orange logo on the signature cobalt blue SKYY bottle.
Fris Vodka, distributed by Shaw-Ross International Importers, has added Fris Apple to its lineup that includes Fris Lime Vodka and the unflavored original Fris Vodka. Fris Apple is available in 50 ml, 375 ml, 750 ml, liter and 1.75 liter sizes.
Barton Brands has debuted Ridgemont Reserve 1792, a small-batch bourbon aged eight years in new charred white oak barrels. Made with corn, rye and malted barley, 1792 uses a higher amount of rye and barley than normally used when making bourbon. Available in 20 states nationwide, 1792 is 93.7 proof and has a suggested retail price of $23 to $28 per bottle.
Imported from Holland by Luctor International, Van Gogh has added a new coconut-flavored vodka to its lineup, which now totals nine flavors. It has a suggested retail price of $29.99.
Shaw-Ross International Importers has introduced Raynal 10 Year Old Brandy, the successor to the popular Raynal 5 Year Old. The additional five-year aging provides a sophisticated taste that is sure to gain favor with the consumer. Raynal 10 Year Old is currently available in the following markets: FL, MI, OR, TX, NJ, NY, NC and plans are in development for the full national rollout, the company says.
Pearl Vodka has debuted Pearl Lo Coco Vodka, a coconut flavored vodka that is the brand’s first line extension. Available from David Sherman Corp., it is being distributed nationwide in three sizes: 50 ml, 750 ml and 1 liter. The 70 proof product has a suggested retail price of approximately $24 for a 750 ml bottle.
Canandaigua Wine has launched Turner Road Vineyards — including a 2002 Lodi Shiraz, a 2002 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon and a 2003 Central Coast Chardonnay. The wines are said to be smooth and rich with lively fruit flavors. The Turner Road wines are available nationally and have a suggested retail price of $10.99.
Jim Beam Brands Co. has added The Dalmore 1973 Vintage Gonzalez Byass Sherry Cask Finish to The Dalmore line. This is the first special cask finish expression for The Dalmore available in the U.S. The limited edition
bottling will be sold at on- and off-premise accounts in seven selected markets. Only 1,200 bottles are available in the U.S., selling at approximately $250 per bottle.
*Infinite Spirits has introduced Shakers Winter, a berry-flavored vodka with a limited release of only 3,000 bottles. Winter has been sweetened and flavored with black raspberry and natural honey. It retails for about $30.
