‘Drink ‘728’ on 7/28’ Celebrates Pinot Noir, Fiddlestix Vineyard

Fiddlehead Cellars, a boutique producer of Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, is pleased to announce the fourth annual “Drink ‘728’ on 7/28,” a celebration Fiddlestix Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills.

Fiddlehead Cellars embraces Pinot Noir’s ability to express a sense of place, or “terroir,” to the extent that its flagship Pinot Noir, ‘Seven Twenty Eight’, is named for the address of its roots, the company says. Their Estate “Fiddlestix” Vineyard is located at mile marker 7.28 on Santa Rosa Road in the Sta. Rita Hills.

“Drink ‘728’ on 7/28″ is a national toast to brings together Pinot Noir fans and wine lovers from around the globe in a virtual toast every July 28th to celebrate the expression of Pinot Noir from the Fiddlestix Vineyard.

Owner and Winemaker Kathy Joseph explains: “The one day event on July 28th is a great way for wine lovers near and far to come together and celebrate the connection to place and to the people whose labor, passion and ultimate satisfaction are reflected in the wine, as well as to the connection ‘fiddle fans’ have with each other through their shared enthusiasm of this Fiddlestix Pinot Noir.”

Drink ‘728’ on 7/28 is marked by a virtual toast across the country, as well as a land-based party at the Fiddlehead Winery on Saturday, August 25th, in the Lompoc Wine Ghetto. Guests will taste verticals of ‘728’ along with the company’s current line-up of wines, eat BBQ fare, capture their ‘728’ toast in the photo booth, and walk away their own commemorative etched Burgundy logo glass.
