UV Vodka Campaign Salutes Veterans with Employment Drive

Phillips Distilling Company, maker of UV Vodka, today announced the launch of its “Salute to The New Heroes” campaign, designed to help American veterans find employment once they return home from service.

Screen Shot 2015-09-23 at 9.01.00 AMAs a company-wide initiative, the program will drive awareness until Veteran’s Day, and will resume again in 2016, the company said, in advance of key periods such as Memorial Day and Fourth of July.

“We have a rich history of hiring and supporting veterans and wanted to expand this initiative at a partnership level,” said Marla Burke, marketing and creative director at Phillips Distilling Company. “We are also inviting our distributor partners and consumers to join in efforts to help support returning vets in finding employment.”

Through the Salute to the New Heroes program, donations will be secured though in-store purchases of UV Vodka and via the sharing of the #SalutetoHeroes hashtag on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with a portion of proceeds donated to Hiring Our Heroes, a nationwide program from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, which helps U.S. veterans and military spouses find meaningful employment.

At the retail level, Salute to Heroes will be showcased through specially designed bottle neck hangers, case wraps and case headers. At key accounts, in-store demo events will drive engagement and awareness among consumers, the company said.

Participating bars and restaurants will show their support with dedicated signage and promotional materials, the company said, encouraging consumers to share their salute online and donate.
