Delicato Family Wines and Francis Ford Coppola Winery will combine forces.
The Francis Ford Coppola wine portfolio and two facilities in Sonoma County, the Francis Ford Coppola Winery and the Virginia Dare Winery located in Geyserville, CA, including the Archimedes Vineyard, will join Delicato.
Francis Coppola will have an equity stake in Delicato Family Wines and gets a seat on Delicato’s board of directors. The company will continue to be managed by president CEO Chris Indelicato.
Corey Beck joins Delicato’s executive leadership team as executive vice president, production and chief winemaker.
Inglenook and Domaine de Broglie Winery and vineyard will remain separately owned and run by Francis and the Coppola family.
The brand portfolio includes 1924, Three Finger Jack, Z. Alexander Brown, Coppola Diamond and Bota Box, among the fastest-growing brands in any wine segment.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The transaction is expected to be completed in the coming month, subject to regulatory approvals.
