The Distilled Spirits Council today commended the Mississippi House and Senate for approving the Council-backed Mississippi appropriations bill, which includes a $4 million appropriation for a new Mississippi ABC warehouse.
“We are pleased to have worked with legislators and the Mississippi ABC to secure funding to update and modernize the spirits warehousing operation,” said Distilled Spirits Council Vice President of State Government Relations David Wojnar. “Mississippi is an important spirits market and we look forward to continuing to work with the state to streamline production in order to better serve consumers with greater selection and convenience.”
The bill (SB 3024) now goes to Governor Phil Bryant for approval. Modernizing the warehouse operations in Mississippi has been a long-standing goal of the Mississippi ABC and DISCUS.
